Understanding the different versions - Generated vs Owner vs Customised
Every text section of a property profile can hold up to three versions of its content: Generated, Owner, and Customised [+tone of voice]. You'll see them as a toggle above sections like the summary, facilities, and property details. Here's what each one is and, most importantly, which one your clients see.
Generated version
The content Connect produces automatically for the property, drawn from its global hotel database and written by AI. It's your starting point: a complete, ready-to-use profile you can send as-is or refine.
Owner version
Content as supplied for the property by the hotel or property owner.
Customised version
Your edits. The moment you change any text (the summary, facilities, or property details), Connect saves it here as your Customised version. This is where your brand voice, tailored descriptions, and edited facility lists live.
Tone of Voice
Select Tone of Voice to have Connect rewrite the content in your chosen AI tone of voice. It gives you a customised version, written automatically in your brand's voice, so you get on-brand copy without having to edit it by hand.
Which version shows to your clients
You choose. Whichever version is selected on a section is the one that appears on the profile your clients see. So once you've edited a section, select Customised version to make sure your changes are the ones on show.
Two things to remember:
Not every section has all three. Some may only offer either Generated or Owner alongside your Customised edits. Just pick whichever gives the best result for that property.
Publish to go live. Selecting a version and editing content both count as changes. Connect will flag ‘You have unpublished changes’ until you click Publish, so your selected versions only reach clients once you've published.
